The new Volkswagen and Audi parts distribution warehouse in Midrand, Gauteng has been completed. VWSA has already moved into the new offices and are installing equipment and racking. This state of the art warehouse will go on line in August 2010.

ARQ was responsible for the structural design of the warehouse and ancillary buildings. The warehouse structure consists of reinforced columns with curved structural steel girders and trusses spanning a 24m x 24m grid. The maximum roof height is 18m on a footprint of 120m x 240m, which allows for racking up to 12m high. A future extension of 72m x 240m has been catered for in the design.
