ARQ recently completed the design of several significant structures on the two new 4800MW Eskom power stations, i.e. Medupi and Kusile.  These structures included the 12,5 MVA Service Transformers and the Condensate Polishing Plants for Medupi Units 1 to 6, and the Water Treatment Plant for Kusile. 

The Condensate Polishing Plants, which is currently under construction, comprise six 42m x 24m x 11m high concrete/steel buildings with Isowall cladding.  The structures hold the plant that is required to purify condensate collected from the steam generation process.

The Water Treatment Plant is a 94.5m x 54m x 21m high steel frame building with IBR cladding. The structure holds the pretreatment equipment such as the softeners, the clarifiers, and the filters which ensures the effective demineralization of the feedwater.
